1. What is dry granulator composed of?
The dry granulator normally consists of material feeding system, dust preventing system, grinding system, cover protecting system, water cooling system, hydraulic system, material discharging system, machine frame and support and so on.
2. How to adjust dry granulating machine?
Most parameters of the dry granulating machine are adjustable, including the granulator’s pressure on the material, material feeding speed, grinding speed and sieving speed, for wide application of the machine to many kinds of materials. But such settings will put forward high requirements on the machine operation. Generally speaking, before the dry granulating machine is out of factory, the manufacturer offers a set of reference parameter. But during practical production, the operators should adjust these parameters reasonably depending on material’s property and target granule size and strength.
For example, if material is of good fluidity, the material feeding speed can be moderately slowed down so that smaller pressure is put on the material. Or if large granules are to be formed, the machine can be slower in its grinding and sieving speed, providing they don’t clog the screen mesh.
Besides, during adjustment, it’s also acceptable for the operator to adjust only one parameter properly but keep the others constant. All in all, during parameter setting, the operators should know what the parameters mean and can operate and control them in accordance with practical situation. In addition, it’s better for operators to sum up experience and try their best to achieve the best granulating effect.
