Working principle of dry granulator

1. General introduction
Currently, granulating machinery is mainly classified into three kinds: dry granulator(also called roller compactor), fluid bed granulator and wet granulator. Dry granulation refers to the method of mixing medical powder and excipients in a dry powder mixer, compressing powder to flakes by rollers of the dry granulator and milling and granulating the flakes to granules in the grinding chamber. The granule size is determined by the screen mesh. The final granules are dry. They can be directed pressed to tablets or filled into capsules. Since the drying process is saved, the medicine can be greatly protected from contamination. And less pollution will be caused to the gas. Energy can be saved too.

2. How to install the dry granulation machine
1) Before installation
A. The granulating machine must be earthed. The earth wire resistance should be lower than 100Ω and diameter larger than 1.6mm.
B. Add lubrication oil or grease to all lubricating parts.
2) Installation environment of roller compactor
A. The machine should be put levelly on hard floor and away from sundries. High temperature, moisture, dust, direct sunlight, corrosive gas and oil smear should be avoided.
B. The workshop in which the machine is installed should be equipped with 3-phase and 5-line power supply. And another PE connector should be equipped. The power should be 380V, 50Hz.
C. A set of water output unit should be installed at the proper position in the workshop. The height of the water output port above ground cannot be higher than 100mm. And do not set valve on the water output pipes.
D. The workshop should be larger than 3*4.5m2, and the space for door opening larger than 1.1m.
3) Installation
A. The ground bearing capacity should exceed 1000kg/m2.
B. After installation, level the machine and the levelness should not be lower than 2mm/1m.
C. The machine should be earthed firmly.
