Powder Roller compactor , also called dry granulator , is the machine which can process powder to granules without mixing, granulating, drying or other intermediate steps. From the perspective of material feeding mode, the dry granulating machine can be divided into vertical feeding type or horizontal feeding type. Between them, dry granulator which feeds horizontally features leading technologies, stable performance and high granulation rate.
1. Features of roller compactor/ dry granulator
Compared with other equipment, the roller compactor/dry granulator has the following features:
1) No adhesive is needed during granulation;
2) Material is compressed mechanically with its chemical properties being protected and effective content being kept;
3) The rollers are set up and down to offset influence of gravity on the material and ensure material uniformity;
4) The gap between the rollers is adjustable to keep granules size and density uniform;
5) The machine consumes less energy and occupies less space;
6) The machine features high granulation rate and high production efficiency;
7) Its hydraulic system helps to control granule hardness and density;
8) The machine is of simple structure and it is convenient to dismantle or clean it;
9) The vacuum device can also be helpful for better compression and high granulation rate;
10) Reticulated, ruled or non-textured compressing rollers can be used for material of different properties;
11) The storage inside the controller system can store thousands of groups of production data.
12) PLC and HMI makes the machine to be operated conveniently and easily.
2. Structure of roller compactor/ dry granulator
Dry granulator has been persistently developed for its leading performance, environmental protection, small size, energy saving, easy dismantlement and cleaning and granulating in mass.
The machine is mainly composed of the following parts: material feeding system, deceleration and direction changing system, material conveying system, compressing system, granulating system, front cover, machine frame, door for maintenance, control system, hydraulic system, air line system, water cooling system and vibrating system.
