Introduction

The three-stage air filtration system is the core air purification component built into the air supply cabinet of pharmaceutical tablet coating equipment. It adopts a tiered filtration structure: primary filter → medium filter → HEPA high-efficiency filter, which removes large, medium and micro particles from incoming hot air step by step to guarantee clean air inside the coating drum and comply with pharmaceutical GMP cleanroom standards.

1. G4 Primary Filter

2. F8/F9 Medium Filter
Multi-pocket design to expand filtration area, filter media: synthetic fiber / glass fiber. Denser structure than primary filters.

3. H13/H14 HEPA Filter
Separated / mini-pleat structure with tightly folded ultra-fine glass fiber filter paper. Precise, compact frame, fragile filter media that cannot be washed.

3. Working Principle of Coating Machine Air Purification System

All clean air for tablet coating circulates through the dedicated hot air cabinet with fixed air flow sequence:
Intake air → Primary filter → Heat exchange section → Medium filter → HEPA filter → Coating drum
The layout of the three-stage filter set directly determines the particle concentration of air contacting pharmaceutical tablets.

Differential Pressure Monitoring for Blockage Detection

Differential pressure gauges are installed before and after each filter to monitor clogging status in real time. When pressure resistance doubles the initial value, the filter is blocked and requires cleaning or full replacement.
