As the 61st China International Pharmaceutical Machinery Exposition (CIPM) is held in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province in Southwest China from 2nd to 4th of this month, our wet granulator and fluidizing drying machine are on the booth for exhibition.
Mixing Granulator is one of the standard equipment in the solid dosage production in pharmaceutical industry, as well as chemical industry, food industry, etc.. This equipment has function of mixing, granulation and milling. The raw material (API and excipients) can be fed into the wet granulating pot manually or by a vacuum feeding system. They are wetted in the pot and then mixed and granulated by impeller and chopper. After granulating, the mixture is screened and milled to pellets with uniform size and moisture. The machine is finished inside and the mixture can be discharged smoothly without deposit in the dead corners. After mixing, drying is also needed. In this case, the fluidizing dryer plays its role. A conveying pipe can link the wet granulator with the dryer to form a line. After granulating, the pellets can be directly conveyed to the dryer directly through the pipe. The pellets are fluidized in the machine and then dried. However, a fluidizing dryer is not only a dryer but also can be a coating machine if necessary. Its bottom sprayer can take the part for coating. For example, some powdery drugs are designed to be soluble in stomach or intestines so that they can be coated by the machine.
The wet granulator and fluidizing dryer appeared on the expo are pretty large. They are more suitable for mass production. And we also have smaller machines. For R&D department of pharmaceutical factories or labs, these small machines can be cost- and space-saving.
